Patrick Splawa-Neyman

Patrick is the Health Data Librarian and project manager of the Data Management Appraisal Project. This is a co-appointment between Monash University Library and the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. He has worked in research data management as a data librarian and project manager for Monash University and La Trobe University and as Product Specialist in Australasia for Figshare. Patrick's interests include digital repositories, researcher engagement, and metadata creation that leads to findable research data. He is particularly interested in raising the profile as well as the pitfalls of open data among researchers. Patrick is also a strong advocate of FAIR data (including for sensitive data) through the research lifecycle.
