Patrick Helling is a media scientist with a background in media information technology and media economics. He is data manager at the Data Center for the Humanities (DCH) at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Cologne (UoC). Since 2017 he is member of the Cologne Center for eHumanities (CCeH). From 2017-2020 he worked together with Prof. Dr. Brigitte Mathiak at the Institute for Digital Humanities (IDH) at the UoC. Currently he is doing his PhD in the field of Research Data Management (RDM) and working on the standardization of RDM-structures and -workflows, the theorization of RDM requirements and the modelling of RDM landscapes within the Humanities. He is part of the international GO FAIR Data Stewardship Competence Centers (DSCC) Implementation Network and one of the chairs of the German DSCC-IN-Chapter.
