João Manuel Fernandes Cardoso

João Cardoso was born in Lisbon in 1987. He completed his MSc in Telecommunications and Informatics Engineering in 2013 at the Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. He has since been working as a Junior Researcher at INESC-ID in Lisbon. In 2016 he started a PhD programme in Computer Science Engineering at the Instituto Superior Técnico. João has collaborated in many european projects (e.g. TIMBUS, E-ARK). however most recently has been an active member of the Portuguese ELIXIR node where he is aiding in the establishment of a data management service. He is also an active member of the RDA's DMP Common Standards WG. His PhD thesis focuses on machine-actionable Data Management Plans.
