Johannes Keizer has more than 20 years of experience in working with science data. He has a master degree in biochemistry and biophysics and a PhD in Biology. Before turning his interest to the management of scientific data he worked as a research fellow on eco-toxicological aspects of organo-phosphorous pesticides. He founded in 1994 "Knowledge Brokers" and contributed to some important Italian Science data projects ("Registro Nazionale Gaucher", "Archivio Stanislao Cannizzaro", "Banca Dati sui pesticidi in Italia"). In 1998 he joined FAO to create the Pesticide registry for the Rotterdam convention. From 2000 to 2016 he was responsible for AGRIS ("International Information System on Agriculture Science and Technology") and AGROVOC and brought these traditional documentation tools into the Semantic Web World. Since 2017 Mr. Keizer works with the GODAN ("Global Open Data in Agriculture and Nutrition") Secretariat and is responsible for strategic partnerships.
