Since April 2016 I have been Head of Research Data Services at UCL. My role involves the development and support of the live data storage service and institutional research data archive. I am also involved in integrating existing services and developing new ones to meet researcher requirements. Since 2022 I have additionally been Head of Profession for Data Stewardship, and I am actively recruiting data stewards to support FAIR data and reproducible research across the univeristy. I was formerly employed as a Senior Project Manager at the University of Oxford IT Services, where I specialized in projects involved in developing research data management infrastructure for the University and had the unofficial role of coordinating the various activities taking place across the support departments of the University. I also provided researchers with advice and training in research data management, data sharing, and technologies for research. I have published a number of articles relating to institutional research data management. My academic background is in 18th-Century English Literature.
