Coordinator of Musa germplasm Information System until 2007, coordinator of the CGIAR Information Network for Plant Genetic Resources 208- 2012 and since 2008, leader of the Crop ontology project of the Integrated Breeding Platform (IBP) - Generation Challenge Programme. Co-Principal investigator of the Agronomy Ontology project and of the NSF-awardee Ontology project for Planteome. Leading the activity on Agrobiodiversity data for restoration of degraded ecosystem services. Chair of the 2017 PhenoHarmonIs workshop on harmonization of trait and agronomy data. Head of Delegation in GBIF GB and Member of the GBIF Science Committee.
