Libby Ellwood is Global Communications Manager with iDigBio and Research Associate with Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. Libby is also Co-Principle Investigator of Biodiversity Literacy in Undergraduate Education (BLUE), and co-organizer and member of Core Leadership team of Worldwide Engagement for Digitizing Biocollections (WeDigBio). She is active in several professional societies, including Chair of Collections and the Biodiversity Crisis sessional committee of the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections, co-convener of Citizen Science Interest Group of Biodiversity Information Standards (TDWG), and Secretary and Treasurer of the Participatory and Citizen Science Working Group for the Society for Conservation Biology. Her education background includes a BS in Marine Biology; MS in Teaching and Learning; PhD in Ecology, Behavior & Evolution, with research focus on the effects of climate change on the phenology of plants and animals.
