Logistics Summary

by Larry Lannom

Group dinner - we will finalize this at the start of the meeting tomorrow. The three candidates so far are the local and somewhat walkable Dogfish Head Ale House, which has underwhelmed some attendees http://www.dogfishalehouse.com/ Boulevard Tavern in Kentlands http://thetaverns.com/boulevard-tavern/ Uncle Julios in Gaithersburg http://www.unclejulios.com/locations/gaithersburg/

Hilton -> NIST

by Larry Lannom

For those of you staying at the Hilton - last year a number of folks with rental cars coordinated to give rides to those who were not inclined to take the longish walk. Will those who will be driving and be willing to ferry folks to NIST please raise their hands?  And those who will need a ride? I there are enough of the later we can also ask the hotel to provide a shuttle but it will be more flexible, especially on the way back, to try the dynamic allocation approach. I think Rainer will be at the Hilton and can help coordinate if needed.

Agenda and NIST Instructions

by Larry Lannom

All, You should have received detailed arrival instructions in email from NIST on Dec 3rd. Please let me know if you think you are coming to the meeting and did not receive that email. The final agenda is attached but as usual this is an informal meeting and we can rearrange it as needed. I did not receive any comments re. the self-pay dinner on Tuesday night so we will leave it as an ad hoc gathering at the pub across the street. I will call them tomorrow to see what special arrangements might need to be made for a potential crowd on a Tuesday night.

WG/IG Collaboration Mtg Logistics

by Larry Lannom

All, A few logistics items for our upcoming meeting: 1, NIST Conference services will be sending out a notice 3 days before the meeting via email which includes instructions on directions, parking passes, etc. This will go to all registrants. Rebecca reminded me that even if you are walking from the Hilton you need to print out and carry your parking pass, as you will need it to get in even if you don't have a car.
