Join the RDA Europe team!

The RDA Europe team is growing and we have several new roles open to join our team.

We are looking to take on four more members of staff to work on our project portfolio and support the growth of the organisation. We are seeking two communications professionals and two research data community experts to join us as soon as possible. Whether or not you are looking for a new role, we would encourage all RDA members to read on and find out more about the positions - perhaps you might know someone who would be an ideal candidate.

For the communications roles, we have two separate positions open. The Communications and Engagement Manager role is central in the planning and coordination of the outreach activities both for the AISBL as a whole and for our portfolio of EC-funded projects; the role will lead the Communications Work Packages in RDA TIGER and WorldFAIR. As we consider outreach to be a core part of our work, this position will contribute to the overall strategic direction of RDA Europe. The second communications position available is that of a Communication Officer, who will work alongside the Communications and Engagement Manager to deliver our outreach strategy by managing our day to day needs within the projects and RDA Europe, while also  supporting the RDA community as a whole.

We also have two positions open for Science Officers (Research Data Support). The work for these roles is focused on two EC-funded projects that we are involved in - RDA TIGER and FAIR-IMPACT. We see the majority of the post holders’ time being devoted to RDA TIGER, in particular in supporting the RDA Working Groups that are availing of TIGER services. The post holders will be working under the direction of the Senior Facilitator, Ryan O’Connor, on all service areas of the project, but principally on the Facilitation Service, where they will be required to assist new and existing Working Groups on all the organisational aspects of their work - creating Case Statements, recruiting members, managing documentation, identifying and engaging with relevant outside initiatives, and supporting the production of final WG outputs. You can find out more about the work done as part of the Facilitation Service in this blog on the RDA website. For FAIR-IMPACT, the post holders will focus their efforts to the project’s work package on Interoperability, where they will be working with the connectivity with developing Data Spaces communities.

Further details, including salary, job description and application form, can be found on the RDA website. One of the criteria worth pointing out here is that we will only consider applications from those currently residing or with the right to work in the European Union or in an Associated Country. The deadline for all four positions is Wednesday 31 January at 23:59 CET. Should you have any questions on any of the four positions or anything to do with the application process please feel free to contact the RDA Europe team at rda-eu-recruitment@rda-foundation.org
