In May and June 2020 Croatian national node organized two webinars entitled "Research Data - What About Them?". The webinars were developed by SRCE – University of Zagreb University Computing Center in collaboration with the University Library Rijeka, the University of Split Library, the City and University Library in Osijek and the National and University Library in Zagreb. In total 410 participants attend webinars.

The first webinar was held on May 25, 2020, and gathered 139 participants from Croatia and Slovenia. The guest speaker was professor Dr. Boris Bosančić from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, who shared his knowledge about research data with the participants and presented his own research data. Ivana Turk from the City and University Library in Osijek presented the RDA output “23 Things: Libraries for Research Data” adapted to the Croatian context, which contains set of guidelines that include practical, free, online resources and tools which librarians can use to incorporate research data into their work. Ivana Dorotić Malič from the University Library Rijeka spoke about FAIR data principles that are designed for easier retrieval, unhindered access and reuse of research data. From SRCE, Draženko Celjak and Kristina Posavec informed the participants about Research Data Alliance, what activities SRCE as a national RDA node conducts together with partner institutions, how repositories can be certified and how to motivate researchers to manage and share their research data.

The second webinar was held on June 1, 2020, and gathered 271 participants from Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The guest speaker was professor Dr. Damir Sapunar from the University of Split, School of Medicine, who shared his knowledge about research data management. From the Croatian Science Foundation (CFS), the main Croatian research funding organization participated Dr. Ines Seklac, who presented to the participants the work of the CFS. In addition, the emphasis was put on the importance of a data management plan (DMP) and the CSF's plans to introduce DMP as a mandatory part of project applications from the next project call in the year 2020. Marta Matijević from the National and University Library in Zagreb presented some of the most important aspects and best practices of research data management during and after the research. Ljiljana Poljak from the University of Split Library spoke about the license classification, the characteristics of the most commonly used licenses, general recommendations, and useful tools for choosing the right license.
