Artificial Intelligence in Health-related Research

A Webinar Series organized by the Health Research Ethics Committee (KEPK) Indonesian Clinical Training and Education Center (ICTEC) Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia and Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) in cooperation with the

EOSC-Future/RDA Artificial Intelligence and Data Visitation Working Group (AIDV) CODATA International Data Policy Committee (IDPC) Strategic Initiative for Developing Capacity in Ethical Review (SIDCER)

This webinar series on ‘Artificial Intelligence in Health-related Research’ focuses on the ethical aspects of the scientific and patient care uses of artificial intelligence (AI) in research related to the understanding and promotion of health. The intention of this webinar series is to being to discuss with Indonesian, Asian, and international community the promises and challenges of the emerging transformative power of AI in advancing healthcare. Throughout the workshop series, experts examine the latest trends, methodologies, and advancements in health-related research that harnesses the potential of AI to revolutionize medicines and other interventions for patients. The participants will be exposed to how AI is accelerating the analysis of medical data, enhancing diagnostic accuracy, and paving the way for personalized treatment strategies. Moreover, the discussions emphasized the ethical considerations and responsible implementation of AI in the healthcare domain. We encourage participants to carry forward the knowledge gained here to foster innovation, collaboration, and ethical practices in their respective fields, ultimately contributing to the future of AI-driven advancements in health research.

Three webinars of 2.5 hours each have been developed to provide broad overview of the current uses of AI in health-related research while allowing the participants to explore the ethical and policy-related challenges for researchers, regulators, patients, and members of research ethics committees.
