Gail Clement is establishing community informatics systems in western North Carolina to empower residents with accurate local data to inform activism and engagement. She also teaches information and data literacy at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute’s College For Seniors. Gail is a retired academic/research librarian with extensive experience in copyright education, scholarly communication, scientific publishing, E-Research, and digital library development. While at Caltech, Gail founded and directed AuthorCarpentry, an Open Science initiative focused on open and reproducible science publication.
