I have been a university professor of mathematics and statistics since 1971, employed since 1983 at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.. I have served as President of the Statistical Society of Ottawa, as President of the Business and Industrial Statistics Section of the Statistical Society of Canada (SSC), and am also the Executive Director of the SSC, since 2011. My specialty is applied statistics, data analytics/mining, and design and analysis of experiments. I have supervised over 100 graduate students in statistics and have served as Director of a Statistical Consulting Centre for 7 years, working on a wide variety of applied problems from industry and government. My academic research focuses on anomaly detection and modelling.
