Prof. Duta (58 years old) is working on advanced composite materials for solar energy conversion in photo-catalytic applications. She coordinated 27 grants, nationally and internationally financed, and published over 120 paper (h=22). She is Ph.D. supervisor (Materials Engineering) and, under her supervision, 10 young researchers received the Ph.D. title. In 2017 she received the Romanian Academy Constantin Budeanu prize for the book: Visa I., Jaliu C., Duta A., Neagoe, Comsit M., Ciobanu D., Moldovan M., Burduhos B., Saulescu R., The Role of Mechanisms in Sustainable Energy Systems, published in 2015.
