Lactatia Motsuku

Ms Lactatia Motsuku is an epidemiologist at National Cancer Registry. She holds Masters of public health in field epidemiology from the University of Pretoria, Bachelor of Nursing Science and Art from the University of Limpopo and a Higher certificate in Health management. She has worked in both private and public health settings of the South African health system, including National Department of Health. Lactatia is in her early career development and her current interest is in improving data quality and strengthening population-based cancer registry in Africa, in order to have high-quality research for evidence-based policy and decision making. Her current roles at NCR-NICD/NHLS include teaching and capacity building, data analysis, research, supervision and surveillance.
