Carlos Luis Parra-Calderon

Position. - Head of Technological Innovation Unit at the Virgen del Rocio University Hospital and Head of Research and Innovation Group in Biomedical Informatics, Biomedical Engineering and Health Economics at the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville. Scientific activities. - Principal Investigator in R&D&i projects at regional, national and European level. Member of HL7 Spain, member of the Board of the Spanish Society of Health Informatics (SEIS), and Spanish representative in International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) and European Federation in Medical Informatics (EFMI). Also, He is member in AENOR (Spanish Normalization Agency) Technical Committee (TC) 139 of Medical Informatics corresponding to CEN TC251 and ISO TC 215, and also is a member of the Board of Andalusian Health Informatics Professionals Association (APISA). At European level, Carlos Luis is the consortium coordinator of FAIR4Health project, GA 824666 SwafS-04-2018 H2020. He was a researcher of epSOS Project, Health at Home Project (AAL 2008) and Technical Secretary of Trillium Bridge Project (FP7-ICT-2013-5.1 e4), and Principal Investigator of Andalusian Health Service partner in: European COST Action IS1303: CHIP ME, SmokeFreeBrain project (H2020-HCO06-2015), Hearten (H2020-PHC26-2014) and REWIRE (FP7 2011). He is a member of Spanish Experts Groups in ethics and scientific integrity, under the H2020 program “Science with and for Society” (SwafS). He is editor of JMIR (Journal of Medical Internet Research) and member of Editorial Board of JMIR Medical Informatics and JCO Cancer Clinical Informatics - ASCO Journal.
