Leading Australia to Data-driven Research Impact
The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) has published a new impact booklet, Leading Australia to Data-Driven Research Impact, which showcases the breadth and depth of the services and collaborations that the ARDC provides the research community and sets out its vision for the future.
The booklet features the work the ARDC is doing as part of its mission to accelerate research and innovation by driving excellence in the creation, analysis and retention of high-quality data assets that lead to economic, social, economic and environmental benefits locally and internationally. Digital research infrastructure must enable Australia's researchers to collaborate to solve the big challenges facing society.
The in-depth case studies in the booklet feature:
-
100s of researchers around the world are collecting data in remote locations via the ARDC-supported FAIMS Mobile app
-
Optimising urban park irrigation via artificial intelligence, the ARDC Nectar Research Cloud and the Internet of Things
-
Enabling Australian researchers to access and share data from health studies
-
Overcoming data challenges associated with bushfire research and response in Australia
-
Building a national HASS digital research infrastructure to create new tools and platforms for researchers
-
Scaling-up digital research infrastructure to meet Australia’s future research needs.
