Case statement time-line

05 Mar 2018

Hi all,
I've just heard back from Rainer, our TAB liaison.
It turns out that there's no correlation between TAB meetings and the
case-statement review process. These two operate independently.
So (in general) there's no particular deadline to aim for, in order for
a case-statement to be processed quickly.
He presented a rough time-line:
i. community review (4w or 1m)
ii. TAB review (2w)
iii. Council endorsement (2w)
So, roughly 2 months from submitting to endorsement.
Cheers,
Paul.

Oh dear, so no real hope to have the group endorsed by P11! Oh well, let's do what the provenance WG did which is just to start and then include the work started in any updates to TAB for eventual endorsement as evidence of the group's ability to operate.

While I'm certainly missing background here I'd like to state nevertheless
that we do not need endorsement to start working.
As long as we can be reasonably sure that the group has a fair chance
to be endorsed - which I think it does - there is no real risk.
    Just my two cents,
