Introduction

Running a cascading grant programme in the context of an EU-funded project requires seamless collaboration between experts in different specialised disciplines and a flexible management approach that makes it possible to ramp up the grantees' work quickly and ensure their questions and concerns are addressed with minimal delay.

The ambition of The Open Science Hardware community, is to support the pursuit and growth of knowledge through global access to hardware for science. Open Science Hardware means sharing designs for scientific hardware that anyone can freely use, modify and commercialize. The success depends in part on the availability and accessibility of open data.

The current RDA DMP Common Standard specification has several issues affecting its usability and the possibility for others to contribute. Mainly, not having a single source of truth in the specification causes issues with consistency and community contributions.
