RE: [datadiscovery] RDA Data Discovery Topic E: Use cases,...

Hello!
Sorry I have not been able to yet make a call. I am looking through the google doc (very helpful!!!)
Looking at the categories/clusters of metadata, they look good. However, I think it is critically important to ensure that funding associated with the data is as much an essential part of the metadata as publication linkage.
If that is in there already - sorry to have missed it. If it is not - then please let's consider it!
Also - I think we ought to expand the use case roles. It might be good to have one or two use cases associated with data repository managers. And one or two by funders. I assure you, ensuring that there a way to find all data sets associated with a given grant, in an automated, distributed manner, is important to us! Are there any other roles that should also be considered?

Dear RDA Data Discovery IG members,
Please find attached the minutes of our call earlier today for the RDA Data Discovery Topic E: Use cases, prototyping tools and test collections (you can find the same information on the task force wiki page as well: https://www.rd-alliance.org/group/data-discovery-paradigms-ig/wiki/notes....
After the discussion we identified three actions until our next teleconference, and aiming for the following RDA Plenary;
Action #1: continue collecting use-cases for capturing the requirements and profiles for Data Discovery services (the link to the live spreadsheet is here for your contributions - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16uJX12h1qCcWo1_LsYZ5NXfZXWCeD4ld...)
Action #2: start analyzing the use-cases based on the identified categories, aiming for the first requirements
