We're looking to establish a short list of subjects/concepts/topics to
be used for COVID-19 data discovery.
This can be directly related to COVID (like cases, deaths, tests,
policies) or around contextual data (demographics, labor force, business
services closure/reopening, etc.). Anyone working on this or can point
us to potential resources?

Hi all,
I am sorry that I have followed the discussion very sporadically lately. Maybe ELSST would be of interest? I refer to a news item received in mid-June.
The latest content release of the European Language Social Science Thesaurus (ELSST) - a broad-based, multilingual thesaurus for the social sciences was made on 16 June 2020.
There are new topical concepts such as COVID-19 and DISINFORMATION.
Out of the 14 available languages in ELSST, 12 were updated in the release. Translation of Preferred Terms for all target languages was between 98-100% complete at the time.
In addition, ELSST of course contains several other terms that are of use when searching (or describing) data relevant to COVID-19 research. You may test CESSDA Data Catalogue. On CESSDA COVID-19 information webpage there are some links to relevant searches: https://www.cessda.eu/COVID-19
