Instrument Identifiers at DataCite

The idea of using DataCite to manage instrument identifier metadata was discussed during the meeting last week. I think this is a fairly straightforward way to get instrument identifiers into the system. Who creates these identifiers and manages the landing pages are important open questions. I focused on how the ideas presented in the current metadata schema might fit into the DataCite Schema. Initial draft with a few ideas attached.
