Dear all,
Thank you to all who have answered the call for use cases that we launched last year! We wanted to know about the problems you face when working with semantic resources. The Agrisemantics Working Group will then analyze the collected use cases and elaborate on where needs are at the community level. For this reason your problems matter!!
We are going to collect your input until the end of January, with the goal of discussing preliminary results in RDA P11 in Berlin, coming March.
Please, take a look at the 6 questions we ask: https://goo.gl/u9yrzs
and chose your preferred way to answer:
1. you can go to the dedicated shared folder: https://goo.gl/XuBwFa and add your document there.
(Just let us know if you do not have yet access to the folder!)

This is a message from the chairs of the Agrisemantics WG.
We have collected 9 use cases so far and a couple more are planned. Many thanks to those who provided them!
This is good, but far from enough to derive meaningful requirements and recommendations for the future of infrastructures for open science in agriculture! We need you!
If you wish to contribute, simply follow the procedure described in the email below or contact us.
As we know that December is a busy period, we decided to extend the deadline to Jan 30.

The Agrisemantics Working Group is collecting input on use cases on the use of semantic resources for agricultural data - be those controlled vocabularies, metadata schemas or ontologies. We are interested in knowing what problems and limitations people face when dealing with them. To this end, we have set up a short survey, 6 questions, that you can find as an online document: https://goo.gl/u9yrzs
Your answers will contribute to the final output of the group - recommendations on tools & services to be included in future infrastructures for open science in agriculture.
If you want to participate in the survey with your use case, please do so by Dec 15!
To provide your use case:
1. go to the dedicated shared folder: https://goo.gl/XuBwFa 2. and make your own copy of the survey, respecting the naming convention (this will help us process and analyze the results!).
In case of doubts, do not hesitate to ask one of the chairs!
Please be informed that all shared folders are public. We also plan on publishing the collected use cases as support material for the requirement document.
