Research Data and European Open Science Cloud Conference, final conference of RDA Node Slovenia, took place on 18 June 2020. The last in line of four national events (Open science 2019: Open Research Data in Slovenia Conference and Workshop, Scientific Journals and Research Data Conference, Research Data Management Workshop), it showcased the results of the inaugural year of the Node and continued the mission of the Node: to promote the culture of data sharing, to connect stakeholders and to raise awareness of national and international open science initiatives.

Almost three months since online meetings and events have evolved from an emergency mode of communication to the accepted standard, RDA Node Slovenia is about to launch its second online event, the final conference of the Node titled Research Data and European Open Science Cloud. Node’s first online event, however, was the workshop on research data management plans that was initially planned as a face-to-face event and took place in the beginning of March, in what later turned out to be just days before lockdown.

On 28 January 2020 the RDA Node Slovenia held the Scientific Journals of Slovenia and Research Data Conference. The conference was one of the milestones in Node's work on developing journal policies on open access to research data and on data citation. It showcased the pilot project’s results as an example of good practices, promoted open data in Slovenian scientific publishing and fostered a discussion on needs, issues, and further steps.

Conference Open Research Data in Slovenia took place on November 14, 2019 in Maribor. The conference was part of the two-day event titled Open Science that was co-organized by RDA Node Slovenia, Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, Young Academy of Slovenia, NI4OS-Europe project (National Initiatives for Open Science in Europe), University of Maribor Library and ARNES.
