Leandro Ciuffo is Associate Director of Advanced Internet in the R&D directorate at RNP (Brazil's National Research and Education Network). He is in charge of interacting with scientific communities concerning new approaches to advanced network use. In 2017 he started the coordination of the RNP's R&D Programme on open access to research data. Since 2011 he is also involved in projects related to deploy solutions for transferring large volumes of data over long distance networks. From 2006 to 2009 he worked with Grid Computing and e-Science projects at INFN-Catania (Italy), being responsible for dissemination and user support activities. Leandro holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Federal Fluminense University (UFF) in Brazil.
