Diana Navarro-Llobet

Former researcher turned into research and innovation management with more than 20 years of expertise and a broad knowledge of the Spanish, European and American research systems. The last thirteen, working in research and innovation management, technology transfer and knowledge management in the fields of basic, clinical and biomedical research. Having worked in the private sector, university and hospital sectors provides me with an ample vision of the research ecosystem. Nowadays, I am the Head of Research and Innovation at a University Hospital and associated centers, an evaluator expert an consultat for the EC and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the national network REGIC. I hold responsibilities as scientific and innovation director as Chairman of the Research Committee and of the Innovation Committee. Bioethics is also one of my areas of interest, and I act as vice-chairman of the institucional Clinical Research Ethics Committee and I am a member of the Ethics Board of some H2020 projects. I am also member of the Innovation Committee of the CataloniaBio & HealthTech Association. Regarding other professional appointments, I collaborate in the role of evaluator expert and panel member for several Spanish and European research agencies. I also act as reviewer for peer-reviewed indexed journals in the area of bioethics. I am involved with the Business Angels network ESADE BAN, to help in advance entrepreneurship and investment in Catalonia and Spain. Teaching is also an area of my interest, and I have collaborated with different universities as an associate professor and lecturer and as member of the Doctoral Committee. I am interested in Research and Responsible Innovation (RRI), Open Science, entrepreneurship, social impact of health research and research communication and dissemination.
