I am the Institutional Lead for Open and Reproducible Research at the University of Manchester with a joint appointment in Experimental Psychology and Computer Science. I am co-lead on the 5-year £8.5m UK Reproducibility Network (UKRN) Research England Development Fund (REDF) project “Growing and Embedding Open Research in Institutional Practice and Culture”. I led the UKRN Institutional Leads response to the House of Commons STC inquiry (in addition to the University of Manchester response), working closely with Institutional Leads at UCL, Bristol, Edinburgh etc. on a co-ordinated UKRN submission. I co-founded the University of Manchester Open Research Working Group (ORWG) and organised the 2020 Beware: Results May Vary regional event in the North West of England on Open Research and Reproducibility. The creation of the ORWG led directly to the University of Manchester formally joining the UK Reproducibility Network (UKRN) in 2020 as an institutional member.
