Joel Cutcher-Gershenfeld is a professor in the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, where he leads research on agile institutions and teaches classes on strategy and operations. He is an award winning author of over a dozen co-authored and co-edited books and over ninety articles, book chapters, and policy papers. Previously he served as a professor and dean in the School of Labor and Employment Relations at the University of Illinois. Joel is editor for the Negotiation Journal at the Program on Negotiation at the Harvard Law School. He also serves as a senior research scientist at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications and has a fractional appointment in Work and Organisation Studies at the University of Sydney, Australia. Joel holds a Ph.D. in industrial relations from MIT and a B.S. in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University.
