Paul Weiss

I am a PhD student in information science, at the University of Washington iSchool. I have a BA in linguistics, and a master's in library and information studies. I worked as a librarian for over 25 years before entering the PhD program, mostly in various metadata roles in academic libraries. I have been involved in national and international information standards development and implementation throughout my career. My primary research interests are knowledge organization, data science & big data, and standardization, especially the intersections of these.
