Andreas Klein is Senior Academic Librarian at Tromsø University Library, where he teaches and consults on research data management and information literacy. Klein holds a mag. art. in Scandinavian studies and modern history (University of Tübingen) and a ph.d. in humanities and social sciences (UiT The Arctic University of Norway). His thesis "Early Modern Knowledge about the Sámi: A History of Johannes Schefferus' Lapponia (1673) and its Adaptations" (2021) is a book historical study of an early monograph on the Sámi people. Klein's research interests mostly focus on Northern Europe and include early modern book history and science, library and collection theory and the Republic of Letters.
