Alen Vodopijevec

I work in the "Centre for scientific information" at the "Rudjer Boskovic institute" as a Head of the IT department. During the last decade I'm involved in development and maintenance of the web services used by academic and research community members in Croatia such as: Croatian scientific bibliography (CROSBI; http://www.bib.irb.hr), Scientific equipment inventory (Sestar; http://sestar.irb.hr), National research projects database (PDB; http://pdb.irb.hr). I also participate in EU projects covering the Open Science subjects: OpenAIRE Advance (current), OpenAIRE2020 (past), OpenAIRE Plus (past), CESSDA SaW (past; Strengthening and widening of the Social Science data archives network), SERSCIDA (past; Support for Establishment of National/Regional Social Sciences Data Archives). Beside the promotion of Open Science principles (presentations, workshops) I also promote other open services and open source technologies in software development. My current activities include: - IT architect for Croatian Scientific Bibliography (CROSBI); - member of the "Working group for interoperability" in DABAR project - national repository hosting platform - leader of the "Working group for Research Data" in DABAR project - national repository hosting platform - member of the "Working group for the implementation of the CroRIS system" - national CRIS system within the project: "Scientific and Technology Foresight"
