As the convergence and innovation of information standards and technology, information science, and information services occur in almost every industry, I have been fortunate to be in the position to bridge gaps among them by working collaboratively with leaders in the fields. In short, I am one of the millions of librarians defining the role of academic librarianship in information age as knowledge workers who are proficient in technology, information and research, and making the strides to embrace changes in information technology and the way people search, discover, coordinate, understand, access, consume and share information and knowledge.
