Upcoming Deadlines

Dear RDA Community,

April is another one of those months when there are so many exciting things taking place that we felt it important to send you a brief email listing them all with their associated deadlines. If you can, take a few minutes to review and flag them in the case they are of interest to you.

1. RDA Webinar titled “Tools & Resources for Data Usage Metrics” takes place 21 April at 16:00 UTC. Be sure to register beforehand if you plan to attend this event.
    
2. Voting for the RDA Council Ends 21 April. Be sure to vote to accept or reject the slate of candidates by this date.
    
3. Four RDA Recommendations and One RDA Group are in Community Review; take some time to provide your comments on one or more of these groups’ activities by the noted deadlines:
   • FAIR Principles for Research Software (FAIR4RS Principles)
     Until Thursday, 21 April, 2022
   •  FAIR Principles for Research Hardware - FAIR4RH
     Until Sunday, 1 May, 2022
   • Recommendations for a Minimal Metadata set to Aid Harmonised discovery of Learning Resources
     Until Thursday, 5 May, 2022
   • Core Characteristics of Learning Resource Collectors
     Until Thursday, 5 May, 2022
   • 10 Things for Curating Reproducible and FAIR Research
     Until Friday, 13 May, 2022
      
4. RDA’s deadline for its Plenary 19 Call for Posters has been extended to 29 April. Learn more.
    
5. Onsite registration for International Data Week 2022 and Plenary 19 is now open (in addition to virtual registration). The early bird deadline is 20 May.
    
6. There is a new EOSC/RDA Call that just opened targeting small community projects that show cross-disciplinary implementation and uptake of RDA recommendations and outputs within the EOSC environment. The deadline to apply is 11 July.
