RDA's 17th Plenary (VP17) - Registration still Open, Joint RDA/IDCC Unconference, Co-located Events

If you haven't yet registered for RDA's Virtual Plenary 17 (VP17), it is not too late!  Registration is still open!

Key Highlights:

  • Multiple breakouts, plenary sessions, panel sessions and plenty of opportunties for networking - check out the Plenary Pathways to identify sessions that would most interest you.

  • Joint RDA/IDCC Unconference
RDA and IDCC will be holding an Unconference on Tuesday 20th April from 3-5pm UTC (4-6 pm BST, during RDA’s 17th Plenary (VP17). For those unfamiliar with an “unconference”, it is an unstructured event scheduled on the fly depending on the needs and interests of people on the day. The idea is to allow the attendees greater flexibility to shape the programme so they get something useful from the event. Activities typically featured in unconferences are group discussions, working together on creating common resources, providing tutorials and sharing issues you are facing in a safe space to get advice and support from peers.

At this time, session ideas are being collected by the event organisers. If you have an idea that you feel would be a good fit for the unconference, we encourage you to add it to this Google document. Ideas will be accepted up until the time of the event. In the days leading up to the event we will open a voting procedure for delegates to state their session preferences. These will be used to guide the pitching that happens on the day to help us schedule the event.

  • Co-located Events
More than ten other virtual events
are taking place either prior or after VP17.  View the list and consider attending one or more of them!

  • Newcomers Sessions
If you are new to RDA, consider attending an RDA for Newcomers Session  and learn more about how RDA works and navigating VP17.

We hope to see you next week!
