After its official kick-off last week, EOSC Future is going into high gear with the launch of a call for external evaluators. This call is seeking experts to evaluate a series of diverse grants to be awarded by the Research Data Alliance (RDA) over the course of the EOSC Future project.

RDA's Virtual Plenary 18 - Call for Sessions Now Open

As communicated in late May, International Data Week 2021 (IDW), planned to take place this November, was postponed to 20-23 June 2022 due to the continuing global COVID-19 crisis and aftermath. RDA has decided, however, to still hold Plenary 18 (VP18) in a virtual format from 3-18 November 2021.

IDW 2021 Postponed until June 2022

The founding organisations and the local hosts announce that International Data Week will be postponed to 20-23 June 2022 for the main conference. Associated events will take place in the period 18-26 June 2022. The conference will be a hybrid format with both in-person and virtual participation.

Registration is available! As with VP16, a nominal fee will be charged to help offset the cost of the event, with reduced rates for students and those from lower and middle income countries. A lower, early bird rate is available until 2 April 2021.

With the RDA Election polls closing on 24 November, we are pleased to welcome the newly elected members to the Technical Advisory Board (TAB):

RDA Technical Advisory Board 2020 Elections Outcome

In October, the RDA Community was first asked if any members wished to nominate a member and/or candidate themselves to serve on the Technical Advisory Board (https://rd-alliance.org/about-rda/our-leadership/rda-technical-advisory-board.html) (TAB) from 2020 to 2023. This is an annual process within RDA, with the goal of electing new members to replace existing ones whose terms have expired. The RDA Secretariat received eight nominations, seconded by RDA community members.
