International Data Week – Deadlines are Fast Approaching!

It’s hard to believe, but International Data Week (IDW) 2018 is only five weeks away! Hopefully, you will be joining us in beautiful Botswana for a data-filled week of great conversation, networking and collaboration. If you aren’t sure yet, don’t be deterred, there is still time to book your travel and register for the event.

International Data Week: Call for Exhibitors

International Data Week 2018, which combines RDA's 12th Plenary Meeting and SciDataCon 2018, to be held in Gaborone, Botswana from 5-8 November 2018, is pleased to announce a Call for Exhibitors.

With the theme, "The Digital Frontiers of Global Science," data professionals and researchers from all disciplines and across the globe will be in attendance, and together, explore how best to use the data revolution to improve knowledge and benefit the society through data driven innovations.

By participating in RDA’s P12 Poster Session, you have an excellent opportunity to share your ideas, ongoing research and accomplishments with data professionals from around the globe.

News from RDA Europe National Nodes

Welcome to the first newsletter highlighting news from the recently established RDA Europe National Nodes. RDA Nodes are an initiative of the RDA Europe 4.0 project and aim to foster the uptake and adoption of RDA outputs at the national and regional level. RDA Nodes engage with data practitioners across a range of communities (research, industry, etc.), support and contribute to national agendas by aligning their priorities to RDA developments, and increase national participation in RDA activities and Working and Interest Groups.

RDA Europe continues its series of support programmes for data researchers and practitioners and is now running 2 Open Calls to facilitate participation of 7 RDA Early Career Researchers and 5 Expert RDA members to the 12th RDA Plenary meeting in Botswana.
