Join GEO-INPE Webinars on Brazil’s forest monitoring system
The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) is hosting a series of webinars describing Brazil’s Amazon monitoring system, the tools used and the recent technological advances by Brazil’s National Institute for Space Research (INPE).

ARCHIVER Prototype Phase Kick-off Event
Following the closure of the ARCHIVER Tender, on the 8th of June 2020 five bids had been selected as a result of the ARCHIVER Pre-Commercial Procurement Request for Tenders for the provision of R&D for hybrid end-to-end archival and preservation services meeting the innovation challenges of the European Research communities, in the context of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). During the following months, these five consortia have been working to provide a written detailed report including the architecture and technical design of the components of their solutions.
The Dutch Data Prize: Together We Share
On the 18th of November, the Dutch Data Prize will be awarded to a researcher or research group who makes extra contributions to science by making research data available for (additional) research. In order to win this prize, researchers can nominate themselves or another researcher or research group.

Data-sharing in Epidemiology: COVID-19 Research and Beyond
Please join us for a webinar on "Data-sharing in Epidemiology: COVID-19 Research and Beyond" on Thursday, 29 October, 2020 at 21:00 UTC. The presentations will focus on the RDA COVID-19 recommendations & guidelines for epidemiological research, and future directions to be explored in the new RDA group, "Epidemiology common standard for surveillance data reporting WG." The new WG aims to have global participation from an interdisciplinary group of experts to address a common data challenge across the public health domain.
The EOSC Symposium 2020, organised by the EOSC Executive & Governing Boards with the support of the EOSC Secretariat project, brings together researchers, data scientists, e-Infrastructures, research infrastructures, EOSC projects, EOSC Working Group members and representatives of the EU27 Member States and associated countries to discuss the final steps towards the establishment of a first version of a fully-fledged European Open Science Cloud.
