Welcome to the RDA Complex Citation Working Group!

by Shelley Stall

Dear Complex Citation WG team, If you are new to the WG, or have been with us from the beginning, thank you for supporting and participating in this work. Our next working session will be in early June. The primary objective is to review the goals for the WG and stand up the teams and milestones. The good news is that we have done a good amount of pre-work over the last months and years. Through RDA we are well-positioned to create a recommendation that includes:

where to add new use-cases?

by Daan Broeder

Dear all, after the very nice session we had in Goteborg, I am now looking for a place to add a new community use-case & tool description, in-line with what we discussed in the session. Probably a template structure to elicit also some metadata would be nice. I am not in a hurry, but it would be good to keep momentum. Best, Daan Broeder

by Shelley Stall

Hello everyone! We have accomplished an important milestone to moving towards establishing an RDA Working Group that leads to an international recommendation for the goal to determine the approach to citing and giving credit to 50+ digital objects that support. YEAH!! The next step is the formal review of our Case Statement.

Bridget, We are ready to go!!! The Case Statement is read for formal review: https://www.rd-alliance.org/groups/complex-citations-working-group I didn’t set the “end date” for the review. Let me know if that is for you or me. I’ll also send a note to those in our email list to invite review. Best regards and Happy Holidays, Shelley Shelley Stall VP, Open Science Leadership 202-777-7307(O) | (240) 676-0774(M)

Re: [complex_citations] Re: RDA P20 sessions conflict

by Lesley Wyborn

HI Irina There is not much we can do!! I can get Jens Klump to take over running the Physical Samples and I will have to flip between the two. Re: RDA P20 sessions conflict

by Lesley Wyborn

Dear Irina “Expanding our horizons to new disciplines: harmonising on what is core to all” is from the Physical Samples IG which is being led by Australians. AM blocks are the only ones that are really suitable for that. Complex citations is more US/European based so it would be the better one to move to a PM session. Is it possible to see the draft program? I am worried that if I move one session it will clash with something else.
