Survey from the Research Software Funders Forum
The Research Software Funders Forum requests feedback from the international scientific community to understand the needs of scientists in the areas of development and enhancement of research software and the associated ecosystems. This feedback will be used by the group to investigate the possibility of issuing a joint multilateral call to fund projects related to research software.
RDA/ EOSC Future - New Projects Onboarded!
We are delighted to announce five new projects that are funded under the RDA Open Calls programme in the European EOSC Future project. Register today: "Making Data Discoverable through Publishing Structured Metadata on the Web"
The FAIR principles refer frequently to metadata as a key enabler in discoverability but also have a major role in accessibility, interoperability, and reusability. Publishing structured metadata on the web can provide a simple and efficient means to increase the FAIRness of research resources: it exposes metadata contained in web pages through a formal mechanism, allowing systematic collection and processing by web-based crawlers.
The FAIR Principles call for the democratization of knowledge, inviting the global research community to implement practices that make their research data and results findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable.
In this webinar, the FAIR principles will be introduced by two experts with extensive experience in their implementation in research projects and in setting up academic repositories. In addition, the CARE Principles and the sovereignty of indigenous data will be introduced, as a specific branch of the FAIR principles.
