Dear members and attendees,
We would like to thank you for joining us at the Social Dynamics of Opening
Data for Global Challenges session
at
the RDA plenary 17. We hope you found the session informative and useful.
We would like to express our thanks to the three presenters at the session,
Oscar Corcho, Priyanka Pillai and Hanna Shmagun, for providing three very
diverse and interesting perspectives on this topic.
You can find the session notes and the presentations here
.
In the coming days Hanna will forward the results of the interactive
activities, so keep an eye out for her message.
Hanna, who is working on her PhD, is grateful for your participation in the
session’s interactive activities. She will consider your valuable inputs
in her research. Hanna is having a workshop at the Hawaii International
Conference on System Sciences
at the beginning
of January 2022 titled “*Open Science Ecosystem with capabilities to
respond in COVID-like emergencies*” and she has extended an invitation to
join the workshop to anyone interested in this topic.
If you are interested in the work of the Social Dynamics of Data
Interoperability Interest Group, we would encourage you to join
through the interest
group’s website
.
We are also interested in having another 1 or 2 co-chairs for the group, so
if you are interested please get in touch with either Kristal or myself.
We are planning to have a follow up session in June/July which will be a
working session. We will announce through the group mailing list. In the
meantime, if you have any thoughts, comments, or ideas please reach out.
Kind regards
Co-chairs Kheeran & Kristal

Hi all,
A quick clarification, Hanna has included the results from the interactive
session in the updated slides that you can find on the session google folder
,
and therefore will not be sending it out separately.
Kind regards
Kheeran
