Call to WG members: Join a task group by 5 January

Dear WG members,
Thank you to those who attended our final meeting of the year!
WG Update:
The WG aims to finalise Deliverable 2: A categorisation schema of types of research tools by the end of February 2024.
To finalise the deliverable by the deadline, task groups will be established, and each must:
* Identify tools that are present across more than one stage of the research data lifecycle.
* Identify top 3 representative tools within each tool category, for each stage of the research data lifecycle.
* Complete each column in the spreadsheet, including information about whether the tool is open/closed source, generic/disciplinary, and interoperable. This is to be discussed and deliberated within task groups.
Join a task group to complete the work:
If you would like to be part of a task group to complete Deliverable 2 in January 2024, please sign up with your name and email address under one or more of the task groups that you would like to be part of by Friday 5 January 2024. If you would like to lead a task group, please add your name in bold. After 5 January, leads will be responsible for contacting their group to start work if they have not already done so.
Invitation to provide your feedback on the RDA-OfR facilitation services and support:
In January 2023, the RDA entered into a partnership with Oracle for Research (OfR) to support the mission of RDA to build the social and technical bridges to enable open sharing and re-use of research data.
Since April 2023, Oracle for Research have specifically supported the facilitation of activities conducted by the RDA-OfR Mapping the landscape of digital tools WG. The WG has been independently facilitated by the RDA Community Development Manager, Connie Clare, and operated within the framework RDA guiding principles.
The RDA Secretariat invites you to provide your feedback on the facilitation services and support provided by Wednesday 31st January 2024. Your feedback will be used to evaluate and improve RDA group facilitation services in the future. I would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you for all your dedication, commitment, and effort to driving this group forward since April 2023. The direction has not always been clear and the discussions not always easy, but we are making progress step-by-step, and I look forward to finalising deliverables during the first half of 2024.
