Action Required: Sign up for a task group by October 27, 2022

Groups audience:

Hello everyone,

As mentioned in the wrap-up post for our September meeting, we have created a running list of attributes and we hope to start evaluating them in our October meeting.

We believe the best way to do this is to break up into task groups (TG), and we are requesting that all GORC-WG members sign up for at least 1 task group by October 27, 2022 (sign up here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Sav1mYOGGSA3pxi1pvkLXVdkH0vR9Pf7Rfv3tRh8U8E/edit?usp=sharing).

The running list of attributes (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SiWnZRwkmbGuAX1sS33EWLqyRJDQWgkXj8l1EwdQsi0/edit?usp=sharing) is the starting point for task groups to evaluate and refine attributes of global research commons within specific essential elements defined by the GORC-IG typology (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SiWnZRwkmbGuAX1sS33EWLqyRJDQWgkXj8l1EwdQsi0/edit).

You may also be contacted directly by one of the co-chairs to join a specific TG. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns about the TG process, the WG timeline, or our preliminary results.

Sincerely,

CJ

    Hello all,

If you have not already, please take a look at the TG sign up and evaluation sheet and sign up for at least one TG by October 27, 2022. Some preliminary information on TGs is also available on the TG wiki page, and more information on the attributes assigned to each TG is available in the running attributes list.

Note that no work is expected to be done before October 27, 2022, and that the first TG meetings will be in early November. Scheduling this first meeting will happen after the GORC-WG meeting on October 27, 2022, in case there are last-minute sign ups for TGs. TGs are expected to meet and work outside of the GORC-WG meetings, and your first meeting in November will include setting a meeting schedule.

    Sincerely,

    CJ
