Re: RDA 20th Plenary - Sessions review notification

07 Dec 2022

Dear RDA Secretariat
This is a terrible mistake on my part. When I submitted the Circle of Life proposal, I accidentally ticked the wrong RDA group (see attachment).
1. It was the Earth Space and Environmental Sciences Interest Group which has Danie Kincaide, Pedro Corrêa, Helen Glaves, Shelley Stall and myself as cochairs that were the ones that submitted the proposal Continuing the Circle of Life of Earth and Environmental Science Data Infrastructure Projects: Maturing PARSEC and ENVRI-FAIR, Beginning New Adventures.... This interest group focusses on data and semantic infrastructures which are the focus of the session that is proposed.
1. The Earth Space and Environmental Sciences Complex Citations Working Group<1)%09https:/www.rd-alliance.org/groups/earth-space-and-environmental-science-complex-citations-working-group> has Martina Stockhause, Deb Agrawal, Shelley Stall and myself as cochairs and it was that Working group that submitted the Complex Citations in the Earth and Space Sciences: Formulating Requirements for a Demonstration Prototype This proposed session is about citation of multiple data objects within a reliquary.
The two groups are quite separate in their goals and what they are working on.
I do hope both sessions can be included as they do target somewhat different audiences.
Take care
Lesley

Subject: RDA 20th Plenary - Sessions review notification
Dear Earth, Space, and Environmental Science Complex Citations Working Group,
Thank you for submitting your RDA 20th Plenary (P20) session applications titled Complex Citations in the Earth and Space Sciences: Formulating Requirements for a Demonstration Prototype and Continuing the Circle of Life of Earth and Environmental Science Data Infrastructure Projects: Maturing PARSEC and ENVRI-FAIR, Beginning New Adventures.... Please take into consideration the feedback below that should be included in a revised version of your applications, highlighting the modifications, by Tuesday 13 December 2022, close of business: Clear overview approved but given the limited number of meeting rooms, the group must decide which meeting they wish to prioritise - only 1 of the two submitted sessions can be accepted unless there are cancellations. As side note, would be good if WG landing page were updated with some of the text in application.
