Dear friends,
Within the RDA Interest Group “Data Fabric” we are organizing a subgroup
acting as a communication and coordination platform for FAIR Digital Objects.
In future we plan to communicate using the RDA mailing list for the RDA IG Data Fabric.
If you are not already registered and like to receive announcements about meetings
and information shares please register at https://www.rd-alliance.org/group/data-fabric-ig.html
You are are cordially invited to attend the monthly virtual meetings
every fourth Thursday of the month
UTC 5:00 – 6:00 and
UTC 15:00 – 16:00

We plan to carry out both meetings to allow friendly schedules for our friends
working in the eastern and the western time zones.
The first meetings will occur on Thursday, May 28, UTC 5:00 and 15:00.

What happens next?
· Alex, Luiz, Maggie, Mark and Rainer agreed to continue the coordination by founding
either a new group or re-using the IG Data Fabric, to formulate the objectives and
to establish information exchange. Additional volunteers are very welcome!
· Francoise, Tobias & Romain agreed to support
· Within the next month we will inform how we plan to proceed

BoF - Creating an RDA Interest Group on FAIR Digital Objects
Wednesday, March 25, UCT 15:00 – 16:30
The virtual plenary programme (https://www.rd-alliance.org/rda-virtual-plenary-programme) has been
updated to include our session.
Please note that anyone wishing to join one of the meetings will have to register first,
using the link in the programme
(https://aarnet.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZwsc-mtrT8qVJxsTJBgIhpikCLGszHKxA).
Possible outcomes of the session could be
- create consensus on how to proceed,
- define primary objectives and outcomes, and
- collect ideas about the modes of operation, e.g. regular virtual conferences, project and implementation shares .
