University of Manchester adopted the Scholix Metadata Schema for Exchange of Scholarly Communication Links
How do you curate your institutional scholarly record when researchers deposit their data in external repositories, but they do not necessarily tell where they have published it? One helpful approach we found for this was to use Open APIs, that exist both for Scholix and for DataCite. To first identify the relevant datasets, and then we harvest their metadata to populate our current research information system (CRIS) .
