Hi Claire, dear all,
now I see where you are heading.
From WHO and other institutions within and across countries there are
many ongoing initiatives to define variable level information to guide
and harmonize novel studies
I wonder whether we should:
a.) Reference those endeavours and make a recommendation as to what to
use for which purpose. This is a lot given the ambitous time frame.
b.) Setup our own list at the variable / data element level.
I am strongly inclined to realize a.
THanks four your opinion.
Best
Carsten

Hi,
I would agree would Carsten. I would try to reference existing initiatives,
e.g. the Covid19 Host Genomics group have already crowdsourced some of the
attributes and data elements that may be useful at multiple levels here -
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RXrJIzHKkyB8qx5tHLQjcBioiDAOrQ3o...
The focus for covid19HG is meta-analysis, bust some of the data elements
could also be used upwards for case reporting aligned with WHO guidelines
too.
Hope this helps
Regards
§ Susheel

Hi Claire,
I have made a range of additions to the 4th writing sprint document
above table 1 but am not sure if it comes near what you expect,
