What is your history with the RDA and what impact has it had on you?
I have been applying RDA recommendations in industrial systems for a number of years. With all the hype around Big Data it is difficult to find reputable, rigorous, and peer reviewed guidance on data sharing. In particular the corpus of work around FAIR principles has served as a north star for the work my teams have developed internally and with our customers.
What do you feel you bring to TAB and what is your experience so far in being a member?
The Technical Advisory Board is an exciting and inclusive forum dedicated to the advancement of our community and the execution of the RDA strategy. Its multidisciplinary membership guarantees that all issues are evaluated from multiple perspectives, and healthy debate guarantees the best outcomes. I bring a view from industry, where data sharing and re-use has been gaining traction, as well as experience in both Research and Industry in Latin America.
