19 May Webinar Reminder: Persistent Identification of Instruments with Spanish translation

Dear RDA members,

We are pleased to announce our next webinar in RDA’s 2022 Webinar series, titled “Persistent Identification of Instruments", taking place this week - 19 May at 16:00 UTC. The webinar will introduce the Outputs developed by members of the RDA Persistent Identification of Instruments Working Group.

Featured speakers include:

  • Markus Stocker - TIB - Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology, Germany
  • Rolf Krahl - Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie, Germany
  • Louise Darroch - British Oceanographic Data Centre, National Oceanography Centre, United Kingdom
  • Tibor Kálmán - GWDG (Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH Göttingen), Germany

Furthermore, attendees will be able to enjoy the webinar with simultaneous Spanish and French translations.

During the webinar, speakers will address the metadata schema for persistent identification of instruments and the proposed solutions for publishing PIDs for instruments at established PID providers.

Participants will learn of numerous infrastructures that have adopted the PIDINST Schema as well as B2INST as an EUDAT prototype service for low-barrier registration and persistent identification of instruments.

Please consider supporting these speakers and the  Working Group by registering to attend and promoting the event to instrument database providers, instrument manufacturers, research infrastructures, and researchers within your own network.
